Samsung looks to strike pay dirt in the ultra premium market with their new 9 Series laptops. The 13-inch 9 Series looks to dethrone the reigning bantam weight champ MacBook Air with its leaner and meaner spec sheet and a design that looks like it would be as comfortable in the Bat Cave as it is in the Boardroom.
The 9 Series weighs in at a reported 2.89lb and measures a sliver over a half an inch at .64” wide. For those of you who are keeping score that’s just a little over an ounce lighter and about a 12th of an inch slimmer. Keep in mind in that production tolerances could well push these numbers slightly in any direction.
The 9 Series rocks the second generation Core i5 at 1.4GHz with Intel’s improved integrated graphics 4GB RAM, and 128GB solid state drive. Samsung claims more then six hour battery life and has added WiMax 4g and an integral 1.5 watt sub-woofer. And you can slice a tomato!
The Samsung Series 9 is rumored to have a 1600$ starting price tag and should be available before Valentines day. I'm sure my special someone can find a nice big envelope to put it in. Wont you be mine?
