Verizon Wireless, looking to improve sales of the Samsung Galaxy Tab is poised to lower the price of its unsubsidized option to the bargain basement price of 499$. Verizon began offering contract free options for the Android powered Galaxy Tab soon after adding the multimedia monster Apple iPad to their product line.
Samsung has revealed recently that their world wide sales figures are climbing past a million units. Carriers offering the device have not supplied any specific figures.
It is generally thought that this price cut along with the contact free purchase may make the Galaxy Tab more attractive to buyers who after this weeks CES Announcements, may be on the fence.
