Now, keep in mind that it's January and unfortunately we wont see it on the shelves until the holiday shopping season. And between now and then things could change, some dramatically. I personally think it was a bad move on Sony s part to announce it so early. If I count correctly there will be over 20 mobile devices, all game capable to some degree yet also let you buzz, poke, tweet,im as well as update both your status and your blog when your not playing Bejeweled for the umpteenth time.
See the problem lies there. In my opinion, “Gamers,” the players that appreciate what the NGP has to offer with its fast processing and lush graphics. The ones that really get it. They wont buy one. Gamers have consoles. I have a buddy that has all of the consoles. If he wants a console experience he sits in front of his 52 inch screen and plays one of them. No other console experience necessary.
If your on the move you rarely have time to get all involved in a game like Far Cry. When your on the move you play Bejeweled, Angry Birds, or some other utterly mindless graphic representation of wasted time. Sony is also moving int hat direction. The Ericsson Xperia will be great for the mobile market but only because it does everything AND lets you use it to call in sick to work.
