A Handful of New iPhone Rumors

I still want to call Apple's next generation iPhone the iPhone 4g. Especially with AT&T's announcement of new 4g network roll-outs beginning this summer. Maybe it's just a gut feeling but I wold be very surprised if Apple did not name the new phone the iPhone 4g

So we have 5 new rumors that have surfaced this week. The most interesting comes out of Italy, where Notizie Fresche tells us about a new 10 megapixel rear facing camera, provided by OmniVision capable of recording 1080p, While Apple remains mute and seems satisfied to let us speculate this is one rumor I can certainly get behind.

Next up we have Media Stream and its inclusion in the iOS 4.3 update coming down the bend. On the face of it Media Stream is just another piece of the social network puzzle involving both Ping, which is basically a social networking program now bundled up in iTunes and MobileMe Apples less then stellar Cloud network. I think we can recognize this as a market widening attempt to get their iFoot in the Facebook lobby.

Multitasking Gestures are coming to iOs 4.3 and not just for iPad. Apple's new OS upgrade which has been handed out to developers contains several new finger gestures to be used to facilitate multitasking by both bringing the multitask bar up and switching between open apps. I would say this was a no brainer.

Apple to release the new iPhone during second quarter (spring) 2011. Since Apple has always in the past announced and spring then begin selling in early summer I think we should wait a while to see if this pans out. Though an earlier release would be a good idea in light of some of the competition's release plans.

Last and certainly least all of you Pat Boone fans will rejoice to hear that the white iPhone 4 is going to his shelves February 27th. Yes that’s right, if you want last years model in white it will be available a mere 12 weeks before the release of the new iPhone.
