Apple iPad 2 Rumors. Dates, Design and an SD Slot?

Oh isn’t this fun. First quarter blues? CES over and no steady stream of interesting tidbits for you to ponder while exercising your throne? Why not start grasping at straws. Any news is news so to speak even if we have to make it up from broad cloth.

Rumors at Mashable have it that Engadget reports (like how this works?) have surfaced that the new edition iPad will have an SD Card slot and a Qualcomm Chip-set. Now while the Qualcomm business is quite believable I wouldn’t hold my breath for an SD card solution out of Apple. Just saying..

Rumor mongers over at CultofMac have MacNotes claiming “reliable sources” say the iPad 2 's release date set at April 2nd or 9th there is a system in place for prediction but its all so mind numbingly boring. Needless to say its a good bet and who cares?

Last but certainly no more least then the others. Richi Jennings over at IT Blogwatch caught up with the iPad 2 and iPhone 5 will have no Home button rumor. I could almost buy it except I have no doubt that this years iPhone will be more of a 4G then a 5 and that the iPad will follow the iPhone design and not the other way around.
